The ‘house that Jack built’ at Silkwood Mt Cotton has been completely revamped, ready for auction on Saturday February 28, with $200,000 from the sale of the house $100,000 being donated to the Australian Cancer Council and $100,000 to the Mater Foundation (Mater little Miracles) in Brisbane, so the new home buyer can rest easy knowing that not only are they getting a fully fitted, modern home in the beautiful and natural landscape of Silkwood, but they are also contributing toward two great causes!! The public are invited to come down to the estate at 10am on Saturday 28 February to witness the final point scores and the 2009 King Gee Jack of all Trades winner announced for the very first time. There will also be entertainment for the whole family including great music, jumping castles, sausage sizzles, kids activities and the chance to be on national TV. However, the real excitement from the auction, held by Century 21 Bay Realty, will kick off at 12pm. There is also a post charity party held after the auction at 1pm, with the public and all those involved with the completion of the home invited to celebrate what is hoped will be a successful auction and no doubt a bragging series winner.
